Jin and the magic melon

Sven is amazed when the watermelon on his kitchen table suddenly starts talking. There's a little ghost inside, enchanted by the powerful Weather Spirit! And Jin is in great danger: if he doesn't find four exotic instruments before the next full moon, the Weather Spirit will actually eat the melon - along with Jin! Naturally, Sven wants to help Jin. And so begins the most exciting adventure Sven has ever had: They set off on a magic carpet to Istanbul and continue along the legendary Silk Road to China. It's a good thing they have the help of the mischievous Nasreddin Hoca - who rides upside down on his donkey - four friendly musicians and a mysterious blue lucky eye. But soon the moon will be full! The witch and the maestro

An ORCHESTRAl fairy tale

The story of The Witch and the Maestro is exciting. And thrilling! The fact that you can listen to it as well as read it is particularly nice. And when you close your eyes, the music conjures up pictures in your head and you can see everything right in front of you: the village with its strange inhabitants, the dark forest where the little witch lives all alone with her cat and a big secret, the brave maestro and finally... but we don't want to give too much away, otherwise it wouldn't be any fun to read and listen to. But one thing is for sure: the story has a happy ending - thanks to the music!

The orchestra mice

A musical fairy tale

Cat music, a band of mice and an orchestra with a maestro and a real witch on the violin! Throw in a magical tune or two and, last but not least, a forest spirit. A sinister forest spirit with a heart of stone... The spooky musical tale of the Orchestra Mice is complete.

But wait! In which big house do the mice find refuge from the gang of cats? What happens when you play the wood ghost's flute? And what does it sound like when the maestro raises his baton at the end, the orchestra follows with a drum roll and the band of mice joins in? It won't just be the audience of listening cats who are curious to find out!

The Flying Orchestra

A musical fairy tale

A flying orchestra? But... orchestras can't fly, can they? Or maybe the witch has a brilliant idea: the big concert on Walpurgis Night should take place on flying broomsticks! But no one has reckoned with Knürsch, the ever-grumpy gnome who lives deep in the basement of the concert hall. Tasked with building ninety brooms, he becomes even more grumpy and does his best to sabotage the concert tour, and indeed, everything goes terribly wrong. The orchestra always ends up where it doesn't want to be: in the wrong place at the wrong time. Not even the violin-playing witch and the maestro on his luxury broom can prevent this, but - unbelievable! The flying orchestra meets Tchaikovsky, Bach, Mozart... in person! On the accompanying CD, Martina Gedeck tells the story of the Flying Orchestra, the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, conducted by Howard Griffiths, plays the music by Fabian Künzli, and the performance material is available on loan directly from the publisher.
